Chocolate Cream Cheese Filled Cupcakes

Cake
1 chocolate cake mix
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 cup sugar
dash salt
6-ounces chocolate chips
 
Frosting
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1 pound powdered sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk

Mix cake mix according to directions. Pour into cupcake tins until 2/3 full. Blend cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Beat in egg and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into each cupcake. Bake as cake mix package directs.
For frosting, beat cream cheese, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add sugar, beat until creamy. Frost cooled cupcakes.
